DR. Luciana Safioti

Dr. Luciana Safioti graduated from the University of Sao Paulo in Brazil and earned her Graduate Certificate in Periodontics and Master of Science in Dentistry from the University of Washington. 

Dr. Safioti is a Board-certified Periodontist by the American Academy of Periodontology. She feels very fortunate to dedicate her career to patients in private practice and to students at the UW School of Dentistry.  Dr. Safioti is a part-time Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Washington where she lectures and provides clinical supervision to dental students.

Prior to earning her periodontics certificate, Dr. Safioti practiced eight years of general dentistry in Brazil and was a full-time faculty member teaching Periodontics at Nova Southeastern University in Florida for 3.5 years.

Dr. Safioti was awarded with the prestigious Clinical Impact Award for her novel clinical research on peri-implantitis, and with the Educator of the Year Award, both from the American Academy of Periodontology.
